Justice & Liberty- by the might of humanity’s hands

There is no freedom without struggle- as Janet Jackson sings in her infamous empowerment anthem, Rhythm Nation- “This is the test                                                                                                                                          No struggle no progress                                                                                                                        Lend a hand to help your brother do his best”

We live in a world where the abuse of one’s power, the neglect shown towards the rights of others & the basic discrimination so openly practice(d) goes without punishment ! For to abuse one’s power, neglect the rights of others & to baseless(ly) discriminate against others are very much serious offences !

We demand justice for ourselves & so We should demand justice for all ! For what stands in the way of justice is the neglect to protect & stand with those who are made ‘voiceless‘ -& We demand that our liberties be protected & so We must protect the liberties of others .   Simply put as Macklemore sings in his LGBT inspired hit Same Love-                               “When everyone else Is more comfortable remaining voiceless
Rather than fighting for humans, that have had their rights stolen
I might not be the same But that’s not important
No freedom ’til we’re equal
Damn right I support it”

Justice & Liberty- by the might of humanity’s hands, an ironic statement for humanity often times finds great joy in obstructing justice & grossly imposing their will against the liberties of others.                                                                                                                               We must grow out of this disgusting way of thinking & behaving. We must stand with those who are attacked, ridiculed & mercilessly killed when fighting for justice & the protection of their liberties.

Regardless of whether they are they of your creed or not,                                                            of your race or not,                                                                                                                                     of your political standing or not,                                                                                                              of your religion or not,                                                                                                                   whether they are LGBTQ+, an immigrant, impoverished, disabled or simply of a lower social status- if you wish to embody the most minuscule amounts of empathy & courage, you must… WE must stand with those who are turned away, killed & spit on -for we cannot ensure that we will not face the same treatment at the hands of another in the future & if so, we can only hope that another will stand with & try to protect us !

Remember this- history will judge us, & so you will either be remembered in the same way the Nazi’s are remembered, the heroes against vicious struggles are remember or you can be remembered in the way those who were silent when others were being killed & wrongly prosecuted are remembered- you can decide !
